MRC offers several programs throughout the calendar year:
The spring season is the primary program offered through MRC. The season runs from January through the end of May and perhaps in to June if your athlete is fortunate enough to qualify for USRowing Youth Nationals - Something that has happened but is not common. Students from Moorestown High School, whether new to rowing or returning rowers, are eligible to participate in the season. Indoor training begins in January with the move to the river when weather allows. Racing, or regattas, begin in mid-March.
Learn to Row:
MRC offers a learn to row program for students new to rowing. It is a week long introduction to the sport of rowing and is open to area students entering 7th and 8th grades in the fall. There are two of these week long programs offered in July.
Novice Immersion: This is a two week program held in July. It is open to MHS students in 7th through 11th grade who want to give rowing a shot. This longer program builds upon the basics taught in our Learn to Row program.
The fall season runs from September through November. Students from Moorestown are welcome to participate. Due to the regattas we row in, the fall season is not limited to just MHS students. Both new to rowing or returning rowers are eligible to participate in the season. If you are new to rowing we do highly recommend participating in one or both of the summer camps prior to starting the Fall season.
